The following information offers consistent direction for class celebrations across the Nicholas County School District. These guidelines were developed to provide safer and more equitable options for all students considering nutrient consumption and food allergies.

  2. Class parties where snacks are provided to students are limited to no more than 4 (four) per class in a school year.

  3. Class parties shall not last more than one (1) hour.

  4. Homemade items are not permitted for class parties or any school celebration.

    • Food served to students may not include peanuts or tree nuts.

    • Food must be pre-packaged and include a general list of ingredients.

  5. The District will disseminate a list of healthy party ideas for snacks and themes for parents and teachers.

Let's Party & Let's Play are resource booklets that were developed for parents and educators when planning parties. These booklets provide party themes featuring active play, games, art, music and health food ideas. Click the images to read more and learn how to incorporate them into your classroom or home.
